Students of the Fine Arts at the Punjab University, Chandigarh have organised an exhibition on the history of art and visual arts at the museum in the university.

This exhibition was titles “Beyond Traditions: Pluralism in Modern Indian Art” was organised by the department of Art History & Visual Arts, Punjab University, Chandigarh. Exhibition is open from 27th September 2023 to 4th October 2023. Artworks in this exhibitions are created by the students of the departments which includes paintings, sculptures and prints.

The exhibition provides information to art lovers because it combines visuals with text explaining the artwork displayed by the students. The text can be accessed through QR code by the visitors on their mobile phones which gives them more information about the artwork and the artist.

This exhibition truly showcases the development and trends of contemporary art in India during 1970s.
